Hitman team that gunned down David Lynch in daylight shooting 'used up to three cars' in elaborate assassination
The hitman team who murdered small time drug dealer David Lynch used up to three cars in the elaborate assassination, the Irish Sunday Mirror has learned.
“The last thing I’m sure he would have imagined was that he would be targeted at 2pm, in broad daylight when there were kids out playing. There’s no doubt they were watching his movements for some time beforehand and knew his routine and what he was up to.“There were the two which were found burned out in Buirg an Ri Glen and the Paddocks and then a possible third which they used to make their final getaway in.
“Even the semi-automatic gun and silencer that was found beside the burned out van shows how much preparation went into it.Gardai have said it is too early to speculate on a motive but one theory is the victim may have been involved in the murder of Mark ‘The Guinea Pig’ Desmond. “He also felt so threatened by the gang boss Mark ‘The Guinea Pig’ Desmond he left the country at one stage, so there’s also the belief it could be connected to that.Lynch was also involved in a number of businesses before his murder and is believed to have been a drug dealer who worked below the Garda radar.
