The Greece manager claims he will leave his post after the March playoff regardless of whether his team reaches Euro 2024 or not
Gus Poyet has continued to flirt with the FAI by claiming he will leave Greece in March - regardless of whether they qualify for Euro 2024.
Poyet masterminded home and away wins over Stephen Kenny’s Ireland in this Euro 2024 campaign, crushing Irish hopes of qualification in the process.Kenny will remain in charge for the upcoming games against Holland and New Zealand but is not expected to be retained thereafter. With Greece guaranteed a Euro playoff in March, it didn’t seem likely that Poyet could be a contender considering his team might reach the finals.
But now Poyet claims he will be leaving Greece in March, regardless of whether they qualify for the finals next summer or not.
