Hairy Biker Dave Myers has heaped praised on his friend Si King for helping him through his cancer treatment by cooking him meals and accompanying him to hospital visits.

The star, 64, revealed his diagnosis with the disease on his podcast with his co-star earlier this year, but reassured fans that the ‘prognosis is ok’ and that he’s ‘going to be fine’.throughout his illness, Dave hailed Si, 55, as ‘indispensable’ and said he has been accompanying him to hospital appointments, as well as cooking him meals to store in his freezer.

Offering an update on his condition, he said: ‘I’m doing alright, I wouldn’t say I was the best I’ve ever been, I’ve had quite a lot of chemotherapy but it’s working.The Hairy Biker has been taking his friend to appointments Dave also praised his fans for sending him ‘encouraging’ messages online, especially when the loss of his hair during the second round of chemo was difficult to deal with.

He maintained his sense of humour when announcing his diagnosis, warning people that he might be a ‘bald biker’ for a while.Despite trying to keep his spirits up, however he added that ‘you can’t ignore the dark times.’ ‘There are times when you curl up and cry,’ he admitted. ‘My message was positive not knowing what was to come.’
