Speaking at a press conference after the pair signed a memorandum of understanding on a new bilateral agreement between Ireland and Ukraine , Mr Harris told the Ukrainian president that his country has the full support of the Irish people“Ireland will never allow the war on Ukraine the brutal Russian aggression … to fade into the background.

“I wanted to be here today to say very clearly that Ireland will always stand with Ukraine,” he said. “Europe will always stand with Ukraine and that both Ireland and the European Union will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes. “Ireland will never allow the war on Ukraine the brutal Russian aggression, we will never allow that to fade into the background.In Ukraine today to see first hand the horrific impact of Russia's brutal aggression and to see ways in which Irish humanitarian assistance is making a difference.
