Meghan dressed in a light blue shirt and blue baseball cap, while Harry was seen wearing a black baseball cap and black shirt. The duo were also seen taking time to console the Mayor of Pasadena Victor Gordo, who praised their appearance and efforts. He called the former royals "great people" with "great personalities," before adding: "They really buoyed the spirits of the first responders.
Prior to their appearance, Harry and Meghan had spoke publicly to recommended a list of fire service charities, animal groups and other initiatives to support. In a statement, the couple said: "In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighborhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life. A state of emergency has been issued.
Paris Hilton has continued to update her followers on the devastation after saying she watched her house be destroyed live on TV. In a heartbreaking Instagram upload, the socialite described the fires as looking like "hell" on earth. "Heartbroken to find out what happened to my house by seeing that it was burned to the ground on live TV," she wrote in a story, which accompanied a clip of the devastation.
