Man Utd's centre-back pairing cost a combined total just shy of £120 million, but have so far failed to live up to expectations, while Chris Smalling is playing well in Serie A
That is the damning assessment from former United defender Paul Parker, who feels the centre-back pairing are not fit to take his old club forward.
As reported by Goal , Parker said: “Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are not good enough. I don’t know how they are going to improve on the two of them. United shelled out a combined total of almost £120 million to bring both Lindelof and Maguire to the club.
