Wow, this look.
Styles is up for six Grammys this evening: Record of the Year , Album of the Year , Song of the Year , Best Pop Solo Performance , Best Pop Vocal Album .
Styles admitted he started going to therapy about five years ago, saying it has allowed him to “open up rooms in himself” that he didn't know existed and feel things more honestly rather than “emotionally coast[ing].” Initially, Styles said he considered therapy to be a music industry cliché: “I thought it meant that you were broken,” he said. “I wanted to be the one who could say I didn't need it.”
Now, he sees it far differently, and he sees his emotions differently as well. “I think that accepting living, being happy, hurting in the extremes, that is the most alive you can be,” he said. “Losing it crying, losing it laughing—there's no way, I don think, to feel more alive than that.”Alyssa Bailey is the senior news and strategy editor at ELLE.com, where she oversees coverage of celebrities and royals .
