Haul of 'potentially dangerous' illegal vapes and tobacco worth £30k seized by police
A haul of illegal vapes and tobacco worth a staggering £30k have been seized by police from shops across Oldham.
Officers and Trading Standards were investigating the sale of counterfeit e-cigarettes in the borough, which have previously been reported as being sold to children as young as 11. Seven shops were visited across Oldham, all of which were found to be selling non-compliant products, with almost 3,000 vapes and 400g of counterfeit tobacco in total seized and bagged up.PC Collins from GMP Oldham Neighbourhood Prevention Hub said: “This seizure is a great result for GMP and partners as it means thousands of potentially dangerous products have been taken off the streets of Oldham.
