No longer do you have to travel to the island of Molokai for its famous hot bread.
Molokai Hot Bread is made fresh every day and sold out of a food truck on the island of Oahu. On the right is the ube flavor hot bread.With a population of about 7,000, the island of Molokai is known for its rural lifestyle. The island’s largest town, Kaunakakai, has a main street that’s only three blocks long. But as I walk its streets in the evening hours, I’m not alone. People appear out of the shadows headed down the same dark alley as me.
The famous backdoor sales of Molokai hot bread began in 1974 and are available from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and sometimes later. It’s timed after the bars close.
