The board of RTÉ has claimed the head of Minister Catherine Martin’s department was informed about recommendations from a mediation process with the broadcaster’s former head of finance. In a statement issued on Friday afternoon, the RTÉ board has said the Secretary General of the Department of Tourism, Sport and Media was informed and updated last October about the exit packages being offered to senior RTÉ executives.
