Over 1 in 4 children and adolescents in this study developed sequelae after hospitalization for acute COVID-19 or MIS-C. Acute COVID-19, especially when it impacts multiple organ systems, can precipitate ongoing symptoms and activity impairments. These findings highlight the importance of postdischarge follow-up of these severely ill patients.
