Eddie Hearn wants Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch in the UK
Eddie Hearn has received offers from the Middle East and United States to host the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua, but the promoter wants the fight in the UK.on Friday, the Matchroom chief said he was given ‘four or five offers from around the world’ as he searches for a venue.Hearn had the choice to put the fight on in many locations, but wants to have the bout in the UK
Usyk is contractually obligated to a second showdown with AJ, who he beat and dethroned of his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight world titles in September 2021.his local territorial defence force in Kyiv.Usyk had been given special permission from the country’s sports ministerNow it looks all but confirmed that the rematch will take place in June, and Hearn is pushing for it to be hosted in the UK again.
“We’ve had offers from the Middle East, a couple of countries in the Middle East, America, the UK, yeah. “So I think we have to sit down with Alex [Krassyuk] and say these are the offers we’ve had and which one do we move forward with. “We want the fight to happen before the end of June, so probably middle-to-late June, the latest would be the first Saturday in July, July 2.”Min deposit requirement.
