Heart-stopping moment driver overtakes lorry and veers into oncoming traffic on Scots road

A heart-stopping video captured the moment a reckless driver tried to overtake a tanker on the A82 and veered onto the wrong side of the carriageway towards oncoming traffic.

The car is then seen braking and slowing down almost to a halt, then pulling towards a grass verge as the vehicles approach each other. Speaking to the Record, he said: "I was so shocked, I couldn't believe it. I was concerned for the four elderly people in the car. Thankfully it wasn't dark and the oncoming traffic reacted.
