Several roadways on Jacksonville’s Westside experienced flooding on Saturday morning.
Out toward Beaver Street, Jacksonville resident Ava Thomas told News4JAX that she saw flooding on her street. She said she saw nearly three inches of water Saturday morning.
She said this is something she noticed when she first moved to the neighborhood and now she keeps sandbags in her garage because she expects it to flood. “Every time it rains, I panic. My anxiety is going through the roof because I don’t know if it’s going to rain. Really hard to where the streets are going to flood. It’s very stressful,” Thomas said. She said she has reached out to the city before, and the city came out Saturday morning, but she plans to reach out again Monday with concerns about the pipes under the road.Copyright 2022 by WJXT News4Jax - All rights reserved.
