A huge fire at a restaurant in a former Victorian mill in Hebden Bridge has devastated several businesses.At its height about 80 firefighters tackled the blaze and 12 people were evacuated from nearby homes.
"It's a massive shock and I don't think it's sunk in yet, but I've been overwhelmed by all the messages of support and help I've had from my patients past and present.""Whether it's floods or fires, we all help each other out and it's a really amazing response," she added.The cause of the blaze is under investigation
I can see what was once La Perla Italian restaurant with most of its windows smashed out and the roof has fallen in too. However, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said all people had since been accounted for and a number of appliances remained at the scene.The town hall has been opened for those affected by the blaze and council officers and wardens are providing help in the area.
