Interim manager is wanted to be Icelander’s assistant for the national team

“So I think it’s a no-brainer, whatever happens back to me, I always say the same thing, I want to leave the shirt in a better place when I go, and to have a guy that has been doing the things with us is probably always the best one to take over, if you want continuity, growth and development. It remains unclear if O’Shea is willing to step down, having managed the national team for four games in 2024, but the FAI would allow him double job as an assistant coach with Ireland and an English club.
