The boy was 'up to his neck in the water'
A young boy had to be rescued from the sea after 'getting into difficulty in the water' yesterday evening .
According to those on the scene, the tide was quickly coming in and the youngster was up to his neck in rough water. Although he could swim, the rough sea made it difficult for him to reach the shore. After being returned to the shoreline by the coastguard, the boy did not require any further attention. A helicopter was returned to base while en-route.
