After receiving backlash for nerfing fire in the Helldivers 2 Escalation of Freedom update, Arrowhead will start explaining patches on stream.
One of the main criticisms that the Helldivers 2 developers face is that many of the updates specifically nerfs, are reactionary and often make little sense to the community. An example of this is the nerfing fire two days before the fire-themed Freedom’s Flame Warbond was released. After facing backlash from the community, it now looks like Arrowhead Game Studios is set to begin to justify future patches to explain why certain actions and changes are made.
” Jorjani replied by saying that they will do this, but also that the developers will do a stream to explain it too saying “Great request! We’ll do one better – we’ll do that and we’ll do a stream where we unpack what it means!” This is a great way to approach updates in the future. Arrowhead Game Studios has often been criticized by the community for releasing reactionary updates that often make little sense.
