The lives of Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe continue to loom large on the University of Utah football team.

The moments of loudness during third quarters will continue, the team announced earlier this month. And the Ty Jordan-Aaron Lowe Memorial Scholarship recipient for this season was quarterback Ja’Quinden Jackson, who was close with both men. But that’s not the only way the Utes are honoring the memories of Jordan and Lowe, who died in shootings roughly a year apart from each other.
The team’s equipment department announced Monday that the Utes will wear special, hand-painted helmets for the Oct. 15 home game against USC. The helmet has the faces of Jordan and Lowe painted on either side of it.
