A high pressure system over Ireland will deliver fairly dry weather for the week ahead, according to Met Éireann.
There is no sign of a Beast from the East but from Sunday, night will be "chilly," according to the national forecaster.In their latest forecast, Met Éireann says it will be "a chilly night tonight [Sunday] and partly cloudy with clear spells in dry conditions. Easterly winds will ease light or become near calm. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees with patches of frost forming away from eastern and southern coasts.
Tuesday : The best of the sunny spells on Tuesday will be in the morning, although it will be mostly cloudy in Leinster where there is the chance of some patchy light rain or drizzle. It will generally turn cloudier across the country in the afternoon with limited bright spells. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in mostly light or moderate northeast winds.
Wednesday : Similar to Tuesday, with best of the bright spells away from the east coast in the morning. Cloud will bubble up across the country through the afternoon, and while it will be mostly dry, a few patches of rain and drizzle are possible, mostly in the south and east. Highest afternoon temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in moderate easterly winds.
