A much loved historic school in Glasgow has been reduced to rubble after it was declared 'structurally unsafe' by the local authority.
Sir John Stirling Maxwell School, located on Bengal Street in Pollokshaws is now a shell of the once red stoned building as demolition work is being carried out. Glasgow City Council revealed that the school would be razed to the ground, however, they confirmed that stonework and other architecturally important features would be retained and could be used in a future development on the site.
