“[Music fans] can share the share their passion with likeminded people and enjoy some of the music we’ve got on and have a great time in the store browsing through the selection of products and merchandise that we have,” he said.This is the first HMV to open outside the UK following a turnaround of the business under Canadian owner Doug Putman, who took over the company in 2019.
HMV shut its final premises in Ireland in 2016 and went online only, before it also shut down the website two years later.
