It has been almost a month since Rasmus Hojlund signed as a Manchester United player and this afternoon's trip to Arsenal could be his first chance to answer Erik ten Hag's rallying call.
But initial medical tests delayed a debut, with the United staff flagging a small stress fracture in the striker's back. He is yet to feature for his new club and doesn't even have a shirt number. "I think in the balance of this squad, we needed that, alongside Rashford, another player who is direct and can score a goal. That is all in his mind: he wants to score goals.
"Finally, the player has to prove it. That is the character we need; we need hungry players and he is a player who is so determined to score goals, winning games and winning trophies."
