One mayor said 'there has to be a sense of limits and order'
Holidaymakers have been warned about choosing popular destination spots for their 2023 holidays as some European countries are cracking down on tourism. A number of popular locations across Spain and Portugal are creating a new set of rules in the hopes of limiting the number of tourists visiting.
This plan comes after restrictions were implemented on the number of new hotels in the city, and plans to expand the airport were scrapped to lower numbers entering the area. Cola told the Times “there has to be a sense of limits and order” when it comes to tourism as some areas are exceeding their limits."
