The This Morning star shocked fans when she announced she would be stepping down from the ITV magazine programme after 14 years after a turbulent few months on ITV's flagship daytime show
Holly Willoughby will reportedly take some time to herself before she returns to television work in the future.Holly had been at the centre of a storm over the past year or so in which she was accused, alongside then co-presenter Phillip Schofield, of queue jumping when seeing the late Queen lying in state at Westminster Hall.
She was then hurt when she discovered that her co-star and close friend, Phillip, had lied about an affair he had with a younger male runner on the show which saw the presenter quit ITV altogether and Holly even unfollowed him on social media in the ensuing fallout. "The last 12 months have taken a real toll on Holly," the source told The Sun. "Everyone around her - family, friends and her team - all agreed that a really decent break from work would do her the power of good. ITV has assured her that there is zero pressure to be ready for Dancing on Ice even though she remains a much-loved part of the family."
