Holly Willoughby has issued a statement live on This Morning as she finally addressed the scandal involving her former colleague Phillip Schofield.
But in a shocking turn, the host was axed completely from ITV - including from his presenting roles on Dancing On Ice and the British Soap Awards - after he admitted to lying about an affair he had with a much younger male colleague. Having remained silence since her initial response to Phillip's admission, Holly returned to This Morning and thanked Josie for being there with her before issuing the following statement:
"And it's equally hard to see the toll that it's taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal for the health and wellbeing of everyone. I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other.
