Hollyoaks drama as three senior bosses leave show Hollyoaks
The show's executive producer Lucy Allan has decided to leave after two years in the role on the programme.
The Sun is reporting that the trio have been given their marching orders after record-low ratings and chaos on set. "Everyone knows what they’re making is unwatchable, but the three chiefs insisted on pushing their agenda and blaming and sacking others when it went wrong. Actors were in open revolt."Hollyoaks have confirmed Lucy's departure, but they are yet to comment on Philip and Josie.The source has told them that Channel 4 want the show to "succeed" and that it has a "strong" potential.
They have said: "We would like to thank Lucy for everything she has done for Hollyoaks, leading the programme through Covid and its aftermath, forging a ground-breaking partnership with the BBC and Eurovision and delivering unforgettable, critically acclaimed storylines such as Misbah’s Rape and The Long Walk Home.Lucy said that she has "loved" her two and a half years on the show, but it is "time" to leave.
