The soap legend, who is based in Cork with her family, took to social media to announce the joyous news that she is cancer free as she prepares to mark the end of her active treatment
The 43-year-old, who lives in Cork with husband David O'Mahony, last year announced she had been diagnosed with stage two breast cancer after discovering a lump while breastfeeding her daughter.
Ali, who starred in Doctors and The Bill as well as Hollyoaks and also competed on Strictly Come Dancing, thanked nurses and consultants at Cork University Hospital. "The road back to my life won't be a linear one... and I will share with you as always, as much of my truth of this experience as I can. I am so, so grateful for all of your support.
