Figures from the Department of Housing show a slight drop in the number of people who were homeless in the month of November
According to figures from the Department of Housing there were 10,488 people homeless and in emergency accommodation in November, compared to 10,514 the previous month.The number families that were homeless in November also dropped, down from 1,733 to 1,685.
He added that: "The epidemic that is homelessness will worsen unless a proper social and affordable housing build program is implemented. The Minister's over reliance on the private sector to fix a social problem just is not working."
