The average honeymoon spend has risen from £500 to £3,000
Today’s newlyweds are seeking fun-packed adventures for their honeymoons, with an average spend of nearly £3,000. According to new research from Staysure, couples are now opting for new locations to kick start married life with a honeymoon in Nigeria, India, and Jordan, as well as classic destinations like Paris and Sicily, spurred by popular TV shows.
‘Instagrammable’ experiences such as eco-friendly treks, hot air ballooning and safaris, are top choices for couples seeking memorable, shared experiences. Celebrity couples like Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have sparked this trend, by sharing their honeymoon on social media earlier this year in Panama, South America.
