Gordon Elliott's five-year-old hurdler can land the feature handicap on the Flat at Headquarters while City Of Troy can win the Dewhurst and Ancient Wisdom, Spirit Dancer, Blue Prince, Whiskey Pete, Hartswood, Aleezdancer, Arabian Crown and Gentle Ellen may also be Saturday...

PIED PIPER can win the Club Godolphin Cesarewitch Handicap at Newmarket on Saturday afternoon. While CITY OF TROY can land the Group One Native Trail’s Dewhurst Stakes .

Although his form on the Flat is well below several of his rivals – he was sixth in the Ascot Stakes at last year’s Royal Ascot and third at Killarney in August – Pied Piper will race off a handicap mark of 96 in the Cesarewitch, which Elliott clearly feels is one he can be successful off.

Godolphin and trainer Charlie Appleby have not had the greatest season but ANCIENT WISDOM can continue their superb record in the Group Three Emirates Autumn Stakes . Appleby and stable jockey, Liverpool FC fan William Buick, have won the Group Three contest four times in the past six seasons including the last three runnings – 2021 scorer Coroebus going on to win the 2,000 Guineas the following year.
