The Human Tissue Bill will be debated in the Dáil this afternoon. It will contain measures around organ donation and transplantation, postmortem practice and procedures in hospital settings, anatomical examination and public display of bodies after death. These changes come as more than 430,000 people will be eligible to receive a GP visit card in a measure announced in Budget 2023, which is set to come into effect in April.
