Sinéad began her career by placing an ad in the publication looking for musicians
Irish music publication Hot Press has announced it will be publishing a special issue of the magazine dedicated to the life and work of the iconic singer, songwriter and activist Sinéad O’Connor who passed away last week.
Tributes have poured in worldwide for the star since she died in her London home at age 56 last week, with numerous events being held all over the world in her memory. Now Hot Press will add to these tributes in the once-off publication.The tribute issue will be an additional, separate one-off publication and is now on presale here. The issue will be published between the August and September editions of the magazine.
"She was a singer, songwriter and performer of transcendent ability and huge emotional range and depth. He added: "But she was also an extraordinary person, whose refusal to don the mask of convention galvanised a whole generation of women with a new sense of defiance, and a determination to cast off the shackles of what so many of us knew was a moribund, patriarchal view of the world.
