Be careful when on the roads later

Despite recent warm weather, on Thursday thunder is set to hit into the evening. The current cloudy weather is expected continue until 4pm when there will be a slight rise in temperature to 20C - but it will feel cooler.

Forecasters predict a slow decline throughout the day, reaching 19C at 6pm, 18C at 7pm and then 16C at 9pm. The MET Office has predicted thunder for parts of the county, with further rain at 11pm. The wind is also predicted to gradually pick up later, from 7mph at 3pm to 11mph at 5pm and then 14pmh at 7pm before slowly dropping off in the evening. Most of Nottinghamshire will see rain on Thursday afternoon from 4pm and hail has also been predicted for Mansfield at 7pm.The current forecast for the rest of today in Nottingham is as follows.6pm - Cloudy at 19C11pm -Cloudy at 15C
