The aerospace company plans to open 10,000 square feet of incubator space for startup companies and make a full-length taxiway over 8,000 feet long to connect the Spaceport to the airport.

The city may do just that, thanks to growth and job opportunities in the aerospace field.The Houston Spaceport plans to take its offerings to the next level in 2023, including adding new tenants and releasing plans for a consumer-focused Phase 2 of development.
Intuitive Machines, which is building a lunar lander, has a 130,000-square-foot facility at the spaceport. Construction is 50% complete, and it is estimated to finish this summer. "There's very easily north of $4 billion of contracts for these companies," Machuca said. "So that's really good for our community."
