Sirens were activated in Israel due to the possibility of falling shrapnel from the interception of a missile attack launched by the Iran -backed Houthi group in Yemen. Magen David Adom ambulance service reported approximately nine people injured on their way to a protected area. The Israel i military stated that this was the fifth missile attack in a week targeting Israel .
Meanwhile, Syria's newly appointed foreign minister Asaad Hassan al-Shibani cautioned Iran against spreading chaos in Syria, urging them to respect the Syrian people's will and sovereignty. Shibani issued a warning on X (formerly Twitter), stating that Iran must respect Syria's sovereignty and security and be held accountable for any repercussions caused by their actions. This follows a televised speech by Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who called on Syrian youth to oppose those responsible for the current insecurity in the country
