Betsie Larkin, founder of Honeylove, is disrupting the status quo by taking the shame out of shapewear. She created everyday products that have shapewear built into the design that tailors to all sizes, shapes and backgrounds. The company closed a $13 million Series A funding round.

Larkin surpassed her goal and raised over $300,000 on the first day. After that, she secured a spot in Y Combinator , which helps new founders raise money. One of the biggest challenges she faced following the onset of creation was getting the product perfect. Not having a design or pattern background, it took about two years to perfect the prototype.
During demo day at YC, Larkin closed out her seed round of funding with Serena Williams, Joe Montana’s Fund and Lightspeed. She ultimately raised $3 million for that round. In total, Honeylove has secured $16 million in funding rounds.
