The board meets quarterly to discuss creating strategic plans for the city, getting community buy-in for technology projects, finding new investment opportunities, and sharing knowledge about best practices for helping Atlanta become future-ready.

"We've provided playbooks that lay out how companies can make a difference," Cynthia Curry, MAC's director of smart cities, told Insider. The playbooks, created by a committee of local businesses and civic leaders, provide actionable steps for helping companies improve DEI across corporate policies, education, economic development, and workforce development. More than 250 companies, including Coca-Cola, UPS, and the Atlanta Hawks, have signed on to AARE.
