I made $95,000 last year selling printable and digital planners on Etsy. Here are the methods I used to build my shop to basically run itself, from SEO to designing my products.

only requires an email, a shop name, and your bank-account information. Etsy will charge $0.20 per item that you list for sale and a transaction fee of 6.5% of the price of your item.

Now that I've established my business to run without my constant supervision, I can be a lot more flexible with my schedule and work as much or as little as I want. In the end, pouring my focus first into optimizing my shop by zeroing in on my shop's conversion rate, creating a strong sales funnel, implementing a buyer's flow, and creating consistency across all of my listings really helped to convert the traffic that was coming into my shop into paying customers. Once I figured this out and stopped splitting my focus, I was able to see growth through sales, traffic, and positive feedback.

My top priority when marketing is building trust with my audience and providing solutions to their problems. Most of my content is educational, which correlates with my Etsy shop, where I sell business-related products and solutions. I'm able to route my readers directly to my shop after sharing content and having one-on-one conversations with them.

For the longest time, I put off selling digital planners because I didn't have an iPad that would allow me to create them. So, for months, I was losing out on huge opportunities for growth. Finally, my husband literally drove me to Best Buy and made me pick out an iPad and an Apple Pen. In total, it cost me about $1,200. I had the money for it, I had the knowledge on how to create the planner — nothing was stopping me from investing in what I needed but me.
