How I Manage My Money: ‘I hunt for yellow-sticker bargains at supermarkets, and often freeze items ready to use at a later date’
with money and lived fairly frugally. They saved a lot into investments for the future, and were comfortable, but not what I’d describe as very well off. They believed in working hard to earn what you have and spending money wisely.
I founded T & Belle in 2019 and now work on it full-time. I set up the business while on maternity leave with my then nine-month old daughter. I had a rough time in the early months with breastfeeding and wanted to do something to help other parents celebrate their journey, while giving back to charities that support infant feeding.
I have had to increase my prices slightly this year for the first time due to higher manufacturing and shipping costs. I believe the government should cut VAT back to 15 per cent. This would have a positive knock-on effect in so many areas of the economy.
