Dallas Mavericks’ Bally Sports Southwest undergoes major national change with Sinclair
Bally Sports Southwest is still not available on YouTubeTV, Hulu Live or other popular streaming services outside of DirecTV Stream. Typical cable options DirecTV and Spectrum still offer the channel in certain packages, and Sinclair this fall released its own streaming platform for local Bally Sports access, too.
With the single-channel Sinclair product priced at over $20 a month, many Mavericks fans have lamented the cost on top of their other streaming services -- or found back-channel workarounds to beat local blackouts.On an earnings call last week, Diamond Sports Group officials said the company had enough money to last through 2023As Mavericks fans have become accustomed over the last two-plus seasons, broadcast uncertainty continues to loom.
