The Bolton comedian has twice appeared on Strictly
When comic Peter Kay made a surprise appearance on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 it wasn't without controversy.
The gag caused complaints from some viewers, with others defending Kay on social media. But Judge Rinder later responded to claims that jokes Peter Kay made on the show were homophobic. Plugging his tour in 2017 Peter was introduced by a town crier and was supposed to read out the terms and conditions for voting on the BBC show - but ended up trying to plug his upcoming tour instead.
