How the Death in Paradise Christmas special sets up season 11
DI Neville Parker was contemplating the next steps over his romantic feelings for DS Florence Cassell , who took a break from detective duties to enjoy some time off.
The recipient of the mysterious card turned up on the island, much to the surprise of Neville and the Commissioner . Colin Babcock was clueless about his connection to the murder case, and this put him in danger. Just as he was about to confess his feelings, a mosquito put him in peril. Florence accompanied Neville to the hospital, by which time the moment had passed.
