The Rail Maritime and Transport union has organised strikes on Thursday 18 August and Saturday 20 August
East Midlands is says it will be “operating a significantly reduced service” on strike days.
Services between Nottingham and Sheffield and services between Leicester and Nottingham will not run at all, while many other routes will have just one train per hour.c2c is asking customers to only travel where essential on Thursday and Saturday. it also expects severe disruption on Friday and Sunday.GWR says: “On strike days an extremely limited service will operate between 7am and 6.30pm, and the last trains will leave much earlier.
“Disruption is also expected on days following strike action and customers are advised to plan carefully for travel on those days as services will start later and finish earlier than usual.”Avanti said: “On 18 and 20 August, customers should expect our existing timetable to be reduced significantly and those services that do run are expected to be very busy.
