And he's off!

Though it's one of the busiest days of the year for Father Christmas, for little ones Christmas Eve can feel like it lasts longer than 24-hours.

NORAD have been following Santa's journey since 1958, as their radar tells them the exact moment he lifts off.usually goes live at 8am GMT, but only Santa knows his route, so NORAD HQ 'cannot predict where and when he will arrive at your house'. After that, he shoots up to Japan, over to Asia, across to Africa, then onto Western Europe, Canada, the United States, Mexico and Central and South America.'

They also add that 'NORAD intelligence reports indicate that Santa does not experience time the way we do. His trip seems to take 24 hours to us, but to Santa it might last days, weeks or even months.
