Some tips to maximise your time off work this festive season
We're getting close to the end of the year, and with it comes the Christmas holidays, offering a chance to have a bit of time off with friends and family.
By cleverly using the Christmas Bank Holiday on Monday, December 15, and Boxing Day on Tuesday, December 26, workers in Northern Ireland can take a few extra days to turn three days off into 10 for a work-free festive season.Read more: Christmas candlelit concert to take place in support of children with cancer
So to get ten days in a row off this Christmas for the price of three, all you have to do is book off the three days from Wednesday, December 27 to Friday, December 29. This hack only works if you get bank holidays off, counting for Christmas Day and Boxing Day, as well as weekends. But if you're planning to get those Christmas holidays sorted, make sure you book time off as soon as possible, as we're now getting closer and closer to the festive period.
