The Maynooth actor grabbed a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Scottish dad Calum in the acclaimed film.However, you may not have had a chance to see the indie film yet, or perhaps you want to give it one more watch before the stars head to the red carpet on Sunday.What is the film about? Aftersun follows the story of Sophie who is played by Frankie Corio and she reminisces on the last holiday she had with her young father Callum, played by Mescal.
Paul’s performance in Aftersun has earned him a series of nominations at other award shows, such as Bafta and Ifta nods as well as an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Lead Performance.
