One of the ‘crown jewels’ of British intelligence is helping Ukraine chart Putin’s next moves
Intelligence gathered by the RAF’s three RC-135W Rivet Joint electronic surveillance aircraft, also known as Airseekers, is fed back to analysts in the Defence Intelligence team based at the Ministry of Defence in London, who combine it with other information to work outThe aircraft use sensors to pick up communications and can locate where signals are coming from, helping to paint a picture of what is happening on the ground.
