The HSE has been allocated less than half of the funding identified as necessary for next year to upgrade its IT systems and safeguard against further cyber attacks.
The executive has been provided with €40 million for 2023 to progress the “remediation of cyber risks” following the ransomware attack last year, it said in a note provided to the Dáil’s public accounts committee last week.
