The woman, known only as Miss B, was visibly distraught as she recounted a series of interactions with a physiotherapist, including one incident where he placed his hand on her buttocks and attempted to kiss her, which left her feeling “unsafe” at work.
A female healthcare worker broke down repeatedly while giving evidence at a fitness-to-practise inquiry about being “terrified” and “scared” by the inappropriate behaviour of a male colleague at a HSE centre in Tipperary.

However, formal complaints about the physiotherapist were made in February 2021 after it was claimed that he had breached the terms of the safety plan.
In evidence, Miss B wept openly as she outlined how she was “terrified” that the physiotherapist would call to her home or her children’s creche following his inappropriate behaviour towards her at work. She said she never went to lunch with him again, despite numerous persistent requests from him when he called into her office.
However, she explained she had not wanted him to feel rejected as she had concerns about his mental health.
